| Advice from a Diet Coke AddictI drink diet coke and lots of it. I used to spend way too much money buying those little 20 oz bottles anywhere and everywhere. I sometimes bought as many as 2 or 3 in a day and still have 2 liter bottles at home. Buy where sodas are cheaper - Many dollar tree stores sell Coke products for only a dollar for those 20 oz soda bottles. My hubby works in a place that sells sodas and using his employee discount, he can get them for about .94 cents. 6 pack - The six packs in the stores are slightly less volume (16.9 oz). They cost significantly less per bottle. I can get a six pack for about 3 dollars where at full price that 3 dollars would only get me 2 bottles. True, I could get 2 liter bottles instead, but these are not convenient for taking on the road and when having them, I just don't know when to stop, so I keep going back for more and more and more and end up needing a new bottle within a day or two which is not good for savings. I only buy the two litter bottles when they are heavily on sale. Free soda - My Coke Rewards has a wonderful rewards program where you enter in codes you find under soda caps and one box tops of soda products. I get most of my codes from canning and bottling. Currently a coupon for a free soda costs 30 points. Each cap is worth 3 points, so 10 caps equals a free soda. The site allows you to enter up to 120 points worth of codes a week which means on average I get about 4 free sodas a week. Home - Earn More - Spend Less - Healthy Living - Bookmark this site! |
